Remember the beginnings of the slow food movement? The concept was, you knew where your food came from, and you sat down and ate with others. It was for joy and connection. What we need are slow families. A calm, loving family can withstand any technology temptation. In our society, there is great competition for high wages and the supposed best life that brings. I think that is what is causing the real depression. The lack of right livelihood and skillful parenting.
